Plant of the Month Competition
October Talk
In October we had a visit from Brian Young from the Plant Heritage Society who gave an extremely interesting and informative talk on the work and aims of the Society.
As it turns out I had a misconception about the society as they are not only interested in old varieties but also in current ones with regard to saving them for the future. He did describe a number of "lost" varieties which they are trying to resurrect including a purple Lily of the Valley.
A very enjoyable evening was had by all and we also got an invitation to visit Brian’s garden next June.
