South African Bulbs

We had an excellent talk in September given by Nick Evens from Glasgow branch.

We arrived at our meeting place to find it all locked up, and it was then discovered that this was a local holiday, so we had to search for a new venue. After a search we went to Kilmarnock football ground, where there was a hotel who had a room for us to use - all good fun and shows what you can do when needs arises.

Nick's talk was on South African bulbs and he showed us lots of slides of plants that some of us had never seen or heard of before - most of which where in flower. They were a joy to see.

Nick did very well for his first full talk under very trying conditions.
